I had the most amazing interview with my friends at Red Hot Events and Seminars today and I really wanted to share this call with you!

All too often, we  heed the advice of ‘fake it till we make it’ and find ourselves desperately trying to create strong relationships. Over time, we discover that these relationships were never built on a foundation of trust, authenticity and personal congruence.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, your job is to get really connected with your niche and we can only get that connection when we are authentic. This is true both in personal relationships as well as professional so my advice is to get naked, figuratively speaking!!

Get naked, get real, get raw, get vulnerable and get honest and watch yourself stand out from the crowd with volition!

Through this acronym, you can find your own unique gift and ‘flavour’ which brings potency to your message, your journey and your experiences!

It’s time for you to find your voice, it’s time to share yourself and your message and we are waiting for you! Step up and step into the spotlight and I can’t wait to see you there!!

One thing I know for sure in life is that our beauty and authenticity creates magic in the world when we are fully self expressed!

Too many of us have suffered throughout our lives and held ourselves back from sharing how we feel, what we think, what we believe and our thoughts for so many reasons, and NONE of these reasons are true! We have become so accustomed to our negative beliefs about what will happen if we ’share’ what is really going on for us, that I believe we are boardering on the edge of insignificance and worse still, global incongruence!

As a speaker, one of the most important messages I can share with others who are ‘flirting’ with the clarity of their own personal message is to allow yourself to express outside, what you are feeling and thinking inside.

If you have a desire to speak, present, share your message or educate/coach others, then learning how you can be fully expressed is crucial.

Oh, and one more thing before I leave you to listen to the audio below: If you have a desire to share your message, business, story, product or service then, that sharing, is part of your purpose here! Not everyone has the desire to speak from stage to share their message and contribute in that way so if you’re feeling it, it’s not coming from ‘nowhere’, it’s coming from your deepest desires for self expression and fulfillment! Imagine what that would feel like…….. I can assure you, it’s the most magical feeling that keeps you in a state of bliss and gratitude all day, every day where everything you create and everything you do, is a reflection of your BRILLIANCE!

As a survivor of the 2002 Bali Bombing, I have spent the last three years travelling the country sharing my story of hope, inspiration and sheer determination to overcome the depression and injuries which threatened to rob me of a high quality of life.

“In 2001 my partner committed suicide, 2002 I lost my best friend in the Bali Bombing and sustained massive head injuries. My heart was broken in two! My sisters life hung in the balance as a result of the 2004 Tsunami and depression was an old friend I’d come to know well. Finding a purpose and a reason to go on eluded me more and more as each day passed,”

“In 2006 I stumbled upon the amazing process of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and used what I’d learned to find some personal peace in my life again.”

“I decided to start speaking professionally in an effort to give meaning to my experiences in the hope that others suffering would see themselves in me and they would know they could find peace again too, if they chose to go looking for it.”

When I first started speaking I was terrible. I truly was. I stumbled and stuttered and often lacked direction, going off on tangents. However I pushed past my humiliation and fear of speaking because I knew that when I had conquered my fear of speaking and had become confident and proficient in sharing my story I could educate and support others to tell their stories.

It was through my own personal journey of survival, both from the experiences and the depression that followed, that The Art of Public Speaking was created.
